The “Amazon Pay” service utilizes the purchaser’s address and payment information registered with their Amazon account to pay for products and services on E-Commerce sites and applications that support “Amazon Pay.”

The customer selects “Amazon Pay” when paying on an E-Commerce site or online service to complete the payment in as few as 3 clicks, without having to enter their credit card or shipping address information. In addition to one-time payments for single purchases, it also supports recurring payments (Auto pay) ^*1 for regular charges such as regular purchases, monthly membership fees, and subscriptions. The customer can set up a recurring payment, without having to complete any further procedures, by selecting “Amazon Pay” for future payments when completing the first payment.

The customer does not have to enter their personal information (such as credit card information), which allows for speedy payments and better payment convenience. E-Commerce business operators who introduce “Amazon Pay” can provide a customer experience, which allows customer to easily and safely do shopping on their own E-Commerce site, to the customer who have their Amazon account. The smooth purchasing process, which can be completed with as few as 3 clicks, also helps prevent shopping cart abandonment on the payment screen.
