Working in conjunction with DG Lab, move will strengthen development of new initiatives that utilize AI
Digital Garage, Inc. (TSE first section: 4819, HQ: Tokyo, Representative Director, President Executive Officer and Group CEO: Kaoru Hayashi, DG), via its wholly owned investment and incubation subsidiary DG Incubation, Inc. (HQ: Tokyo, Representative Director, President: Kaoru Hayashi, DGI), will invest in the American startup studio All Turtles (HQ: San Francisco, Co-founder and CEO: Phil Libin, All Turtles). DG will support both the business development of All Turtles in Japan and the entry into the Japanese market of the startups it supports. It will also work in conjunction with DG Lab, an open innovation R&D organization jointly established with Kakaku.com, Inc. (TSE first section: 2371, HQ: Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Shonosuke Hata) and Credit Saison Co., Ltd. (TSE first section: 8253, HQ: Tokyo, President and CEO: Hiroshi Rinno), to strengthen development of new initiatives that utilize AI(artificial intelligence) technology.
Founded by Phil Libin, the co-founder and former CEO of Evernote, All Turtles is an AI studio that partners with founding teams to build products that use AI to solve everyday problems. The studio works with founders to get ideas from pilot to product, and provides them with the support and resource they require to allow them to focus on creating a new product rather than starting a new company.
All Turtles launches with 8 studio companies and 2 studio projects.

To aid All Turtles in its development within Japan, DG will utilize the know-how it has gained working with Japanese startups as part of its Open Network Lab, an incubation organization for startup firms operated by DGI in 2010. DG also plans to conduct direct investment, through DGI, in the startups supported by All Turtles.
